The University of Arkansas has been recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the top 100 public institutions in the United States. The recognition places the university among colleges and universities being recognized nationally for their academic programs, student opportunities and overall educational experience. The announcement adds to recent national recognition received by the university.

The TIME Magazine recognition comes as the University of Arkansas continues to receive attention in national college rankings. The university was also recently ranked No. 99 among public universities in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings, moving up one spot from the previous ranking. The U of A was tied with several other universities for the position.


Several academic programs at the University of Arkansas have also received strong national rankings. Its undergraduate business program ranked 36th among public institutions, while its nursing program ranked 40th. The university's supply chain management and logistics program was ranked 9th among public universities and 10th overall nationally. Other highly ranked programs include management information systems, engineering, and computer science.

The university has also seen improvements in student success. Its six-year graduation rate recently reached a record 73%, while the four-year graduation rate rose above 62%. University officials have pointed to improvements in graduation rates, research, and career preparation as areas contributing to the institution's recent national recognition.


The TIME Magazine recognition is another addition to the University of Arkansas' growing list of national rankings and honors. University officials continue to focus on improving student outcomes, expanding research, and preparing graduates for careers after college.
