Last Friday was another exciting night under the lights for Nashville football as the Scrappers continued their perfect start to the season with a 54-34 victory over the Arkansas High Razorbacks. With fans filling the stands and the energy building throughout the game, Nashville showed once again why its 3-0 record is something for the community to be excited about.

The game started with plenty of action as both teams found ways to score early. Nashville opened the scoring when Jacoby Hopson reached the end zone, but Arkansas High quickly answered to even the score. The teams continued to battle back and forth, with Keshawn Jefferson and Jakhari Starr finding the end zone for Nashville. As the first half came to a close, Starr scored again to give the Scrappers a 28-21 advantage heading into halftime.

After halftime, Nashville began to create some separation. Scrapper quarterback DJ Jefferson scored early in the third quarter, and Starr added another touchdown as the Scrappers continued to build momentum. Arkansas High refused to go away quietly and continued putting points on the scoreboard, but Nashville's offense continued to respond. Another touchdown from Starr and a successful two-point conversion from Hopson helped Nashville take a 48-27 lead into the 4th quarter.

The Scrappers added one more touchdown in the 4th quarter when Jefferson found the end zone again, helping seal the 54-34 win. With three victories already under their belts, Nashville has given fans plenty to cheer about early in the season. The Scrappers are coming off of a bye week this Friday and will return to The Hill on September 25 to take on the Arkadelphia Badgers to open conference play. As the team looks ahead, the excitement surrounding Nashville football continues to grow with each win.
